Growing up in Montana then moving to Chicago 8 years ago gives me a unique perspective when it comes to creating art. Experiencing nature every day growing up then transitioning to an urban environment allows me to bring aspects of both cultures to my work.
As an architect, I care deeply about the craft of making. Creating art and design is an iterative process that evolves over time with hard work. Back in architecture school, I learned about the powerful balance between the softness of nature and the precision of design. The intersection of these two concepts creates beauty.
